Winter Weather

So this has been the view outside for about a week now. It would be beautiful if it weren't for the 2 inches of ice that cover the foot and a half of snow from freezing rain! I think we all have cabin fever and are ready to get back to our regular lives! We didn't have church last week or today due to the lovely weather. People anywhere else in the country probably think that we in the northwest are a bunch of weenies, but just remember....we've got 2 inches of ice covering everything!!

Grace likes to hang out with her stuffed animals and see if we can mistake her for one. She's so sneaky!
She's riding Jesse's horse, but she has her own in her bedroom. This one was just close.

Grandma finally decorated the Christmas tree a couple weeks ago :). Grace loves to look at the lights and play with all the sparkly ornaments. I'm so excited for her first Christmas!

This was from Thanksgiving '08 with Uncle Chet, and cousins Krysta and Kylee. She loves to see other little kids. She just smiles and laughs and watches their every move!

This was also Thanksgiving; I was feeding her on my lap. She has a hard time eating with all of the distractions of other people around. But she's so much fun to play with and such a joy to have in our lives!

She LOVES her carrots!

First teeth!

Well I don't have any pictures yet, because she won't let me in her mouth, but her first two teeth are starting to poke through! The front bottom ones are just barely through the gums, but they're both here and at the same time! I can't believe she's growing up so fast! She's got me, Matt and Grandma and Grandpa Fuger wrapped around her little fingers. She knows how to play all of us!
She loves to sit on Grandma's lap!

Can you tell which one is a baby?

She likes to help with the laundry!

6 months and growing!

I cannot believe that Grace is 6 months old! Her half birthday was on the 10th. She amazes me every day with her beauty and personality. She is the greatest gift that we could ever ask for. She had her 6 month checkup on Monday and she is 16 lbs. 9 oz., and she is 27 inches tall! She is in the 55th percentile for weight and the 85th percentile for height. She's going to be so tall! We're going to have to get her a bigger carseat soon; she's only 2 inches away from outgrowing hers! She's also cutting her first tooth! It's so exciting! All that drooling is finally paying off! I must tell her 400 times a day how adorable she is. The past 6 months have been the best, worst, most trying, most rewarding, most amazing, hardest, happiest days of my life! I never imagined parenthood would be so......awesome! It's amazing the things that Gracie teaches me when I'm trying to teach her. She is certainly an angel from Heaven and just by looking at her there is no doubt that she came from Heavenly Father.

Ready for Halloween

I know that I must be the worst blogger ever, but I am finally posting new pictures of Grace! Yay, me! She has been growing so fast the days and weeks just get away from me! She is now LOVING to eat squash! It smells pretty bad to me, but she loves it! She's started to roll over while she's in her crib and while she's trying to fall asleep she'll get stuck on her tummy because there's no room to turn back over so I'll hear her sqwaking until I rescue her. She is so smiley and happy and loves to talk during Relief Society and Elder's Quorom. She truly is a blessing and we love her very much!
So we're ready for Halloween! Our little bug is going to be a lady bug! Here are some pictures!

So, Grace doesn't like to smile for the camera. She likes to smile after the picture is taken or right before the picture is taken. This is what happens when we use the flash:

Tummy Time

Well, one thing's for sure; Grace loves tummy time! Yesterday she was rolling all over the place and I was attempting to capture it, but she decided just to hang on her belly today. She's so much fun, and growing like a weed! I love being able to see her grow and develop. She's now on rice cereal, too, which she likes, but is still trying to get a hang of the keeping it in her mouth and swallowing. All in all, I'd say she does pretty well! She comes from a long line of good eaters; chances are she'll figure it out soon enough!

Check out this "Matt-itude" face! Like father, like daughter!

4 months old

My darling baby girl turned 4 months old yesterday! Can you believe it? She also went to the doctor and had her 4 month check up. She now weighs 14 lbs., 8 oz., and is 25 1/4 inches tall! She is in the 70th percentile for weight and 85th percentile for height! (Her head circumference is in the 40th percentile!) She's growing so fast, it's unbelievable! The doctor said it's OK to start giving her rice cereal, since she's shown a steady growth in weight and she watches us eat and tries to grab our food! She's so amazing to watch, and I feel so lucky to be her mother!

Holy Cow!!

So we're trying all kinds of big kid stuff now! Grace is growing up so fast we hardly have time to keep up with her! She'll be 4 months old on the 10th and I just can't believe how fast the time has gone! She's still too small for the walker and the jumpy, but she's getting close! We got her a bumbo and she loves being able to sit up and see the world!

I'm a big kid now!

Well, after a short nap in her crib yesterday, I decided to try having her sleep there last night. And she did it! I was so proud of her! She only woke up once, and did this all without a boppy! While she's been in the bassinet next to our bed, she hasn't been able to sleep for long periods of time without sleeping in the boppy where she feels cozy and cuddled. I'm so proud of her! I can't believe how big she's getting! Each day I am more and more amazed at what she's able to do! She coos and smiles so much now. I feel like I can understand what she's trying to tell me. She's so adorable!

Yesterday she was not very happy to discover that she was in her crib after her nap...

But once she saw mommy she decided it was ok.

Doctor, doctor give me the news...

We went to the Dr. today for Gracie's two month check up. Dr. Miller said she looks great, and she and I are both doing a great job and to keep up the good work! She now weighs 11 lbs. 15 oz. and she is 23 inches long. She is in the 50th percentile and right on track to being perfect!! But we already knew she was, of course! :) I made sure to give her some Tylenol after the appointment, so she'll probably be sleeping for a while, which will be good for all of us! She keeps me so busy that I forget about myself, and that is the best possible feeling in the world. I just feel so incredibly lucky that Heavenly Father has blessed me with such a gorgeous, fun, good natured baby girl, and I look forward to all of her milestones in the future. Motherhood is so much different than I imagined ( in a good way) and I am so glad that I finally have the opportunity to experience it. It's all I could have ever wanted and more.

Mobiles

Grace turned 2 months old on the 10th! I can't believe my baby is growing so fast! It seems like just yesterday I found out I was pregnant and here she is 2 and a half months old! I can't believe how fast time flies when you're happy! We love her so much and are so grateful everday that we have her in our lives!

So Gracie loves her mobile!! She'll just lay under it and watch it for the longest time! (unless she's hungry, tired, or wants mommy, of course!) But it's so cute! I tried to get some pictures of her watching it the other day. She's so funny-she just lights up whenever she hears the music start to play. She got a new swing last week that has a mobile and I wish I could have captured her face forever when she saw it! She just got so excited!! It's so much fun to watch her grow and develop!

We missed the 4th!

This was Grace's 4th of July dress that she never got to wear to church! The day she was going to wear it I was sick so we stayed home and then the next week she was screaming bloody murder and she and I never made it. So...she'll be wearing to church, just a little late. But hey, it's never too late to be patriotic, right?? (Her headband is my personal favorite!)

Ready for Summer

I found a bathing suit that was 0-3 months and so cute so of course I had to buy it! Matt also found some sun glasses that are totally *~Diva~* and so of course we had to buy them, too! So we got her all dressed up this morning and took some pictures. I never thought it could be so much fun to dress up a baby!

Park

Last week we went to the park and took some pictures. She started out pretty happy, but within a few minutes, she was ready to go! It's so much fun to take her places and play. She is becomming so much more alert every day and each morning I am more eager to see what she will do. She is so much fun and we love her so much!
